she breathes smoke from her lips immediately feeling the comforting high soaring up, mind leaving the ground she takes in her allusions loving every second she gets away from her problems if only for a little while and that makes it all worth it every dollar, every lie She is suddenly jolted back to earth where all her troubles remain they all come back to meet her a reminder, whispering her name she knows it almost her curfew and she must get back to where her family doesn't love her where her boyfriend beats her where she's bullied, and hated but she'll take one more hit before she goes home again

Out with her friends to parties and bars the smell of alcohol, and people having fun she thinks maybe I'll have just a few sips fully aware of what it could do one bottle later, maybe two she begins to relax having fun with her friends Next thing she knows she's on the ground not knowing how she go there clothes scattered all over the floor she sits up, stricken with panic gets dressed quickly and walks out she stumbles home head down broken and dirty she tries to clear her mind she tries to forget but It's forever in her mind so she cries and cries

darkness closing all around catch your breath listen to the sound close your eyes take it in this is your new life, my friend no more light none in sight hear the screams see the pain you live no longer surrounded by light you live in darkness and you're never getting away
